Dozens of leading architectural firms from around the world participated in the pre-qualification phase of the International Architectural Design Competition for the redevelopment of the Thessaloniki Exhibition and Conference Centre. 15 of these firms were qualified on December 5th, to move on to the next phase.

The Jury of the “International Architectural Design Competition for the Thessaloniki ConfEx Park” met in video conference on Thursday 3rd, Friday 4th and Saturday 5th of December 2020 for the Prequalification procedure. The Jury reviewed all 116 Applications submitted on the basis of the Qualification criteria and according to the Competition Regulations.
The “International Architectural Design Competition for the Thessaloniki ConfEx Park” was enthusiastically accepted by the international architectural community as shows the first phase of the Competition for the new Thessaloniki Exhibition and Conference Centre.
The international architectural competition for the renovation of the Thessaloniki exhibition center was announced on Tuesday 29th of September 2020, by TIF-Helexpo S.A..
The Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis toured the premises of the TIF immediately after his statements, where he was informed about the redevelopment plans.
